Critical Acclaim

James Suckling:
Dry Red Wine A rich and powerful Pinot Noir from Alsace with melted tannins, with notes of cranberries, violets and lavender. This Pinot Noir comes from an exceptional terroir, the Hengst, it is to be tasted with grilled red meats, game, and cheeses. Exposed South, South-East extends to an altitude of 270 to 360 m, on a rather pronounced slope. The soil, essentially made up of Oligocene conglomerates and limestone marls, gives the wine a solid and very structured character. Grapes rigorously sorted, destemmed and placed in a maceration vat. The berries remain in contact with the juice during alcoholic fermentation in order to extract the tannins and coloring compounds from the wine. Pressing will take place after 2 to 3 weeks of maceration.
