Description

Tasting Notes:
Very dense and a garnet shade of Picota cherry in colour, the wine comes over as fine and aromatic on the nose. It releases aromas of ripe fruit, balsamic and lactic notes, along with a creaminess from the wood. On the palate it is flavorsome with a definite sweet richness, balanced, with ripe tannins, fresh with balsamic (eucalyptus) throughout and a finish revealing oak ageing aromas. There are oily tannins still awaiting some polish, but it offers a very long and persistent mouthful.

About Winery:
The Leda project was established in 1998 and among those who founded it were the two sons of the famous oenologist Mariano García(Former Winemaker of Vega Sicilia): Alberto García and Eduardo García. The winery is located in the town of Tudela de Duero’s old quarter, in a big old 18th Century house that has been completely renovated. The winery’s work philosophy is based on viticulture that respects the environment and on quality above all else. Although not possessing any vineyards of its own, Leda has chosen 40 vine-growing estates for engaging in long-term contracts, with the aim of involving the growers in the procurement of quality grapes. All the vineyard estates are situated on slopes with poor, deep soils.
