Description
Tasting Notes: Medium garnet colour. Fragrant and vivacious nose with wild berries, pomegranate, grapefruit, aromatic herbs (rosemary) and abundant spicy notes (white pepper). Lively fragrance on the palate with more of those fruity, spicy notes present on the nose. Very fresh and aromatic, with that savoury character found in the best Garnachas and notable persistence. Beguilingly seductive.
About the Winery:The history of this unique winery begins in 1878, when a wine produced in a lost Rioja villagecalled Baños de Rioja won a prize in the wine competition at the Universal Exhibition of Paris. The red wine at issue was presented by Eugenia de Montijo, wife of Napoleon III, Empress of France and owner of a vineyard farm located in La Rioja.
